Café Mundo was established in December 2007 and opened its doors on June 6th, 2008. Co-owners Chris Todd and Ronnie Mark have envisioned an atmosphere that is warm, cozy and wraps around each patron allowing them to relax with a favorite international beverage. Think coffee shop…mix in a splash of class, a dash of restaurant, a pinch of art gallery, the zest of 1 bakery, and a boxful of good aura—and you have Café Mundo!  Further, the environment is contemporary and echoes the progressive spirit of Historic Greer Station. The theme of Café Mundo is basically what the name means . . . “A World Café”

Our menu is eclectic beginning with gourmet international coffees, excellent red and white wine selections, beer selections (some high-gravity), and teas from around the world. The prices are typically less than those of major chains. Our high quality coffee beans are roasted locally and delivered fresh. We also offer unique bubble tea smoothies with Choobees! Our varieties of fine beers and wines give any level of connoisseur something to savor. Each of our many beverages offer a delicious and cultural experience for both the young and “young at heart.”

Café Mundo provides a full sandwich and appetizer menu offering panini pressed sandwiches on homemade breads, fresh-made bruscetta and hummus and cheese platter, bagel melts, and giant pretzels.  We also feature a range of homemade desserts such as cheesecakes, rootbeer floats, brownies, BIG cookies, and ice cream cookie sandwiches. In addition to our food and beverage selections, we feature a wide variety of entertainment including live music (Sat.), open mic nights (Thurs.), free billiards all day, wine tastings, comedy nights, and our annual Battle of the Bands competition (late Feb. through March)!

Café Mundo is also very community based and provides an outlet for many forms of local artist and assists in helping to develop and grow the Greer Station area including serving on the Board for Greer Station Association.

LOAFIN’ AROUND:   In February, 2010, Leisa Marie Mounts officially opened “LOAFIN’ AROUND” in conjunction with Café Mundo.  The bakery features Leisa Marie’s handcrafted baked goods including all the things that you can imagine!!!  LOAFIN’ AROUND is a wholesale business, however Leisa Marie’s creations are available for purchase through Café Mundo!
